1992 was the year that Bret Sawyer and Ed Routhier shook up the Mexican fast food industry with their first Rock'N Tacos restaurant. These were fun-spirited restaurants that brought the healthy lifestyle of the Baja California coast to metropolitan areas.
Traditional recipes were revamped to cut the fat, but not the flavor. Consumers appreciated the taste of homemade meals always prepared with grilled seafood, fresh produce, whole grains and tantalizing spices. Baja California favorites such as shark burritos were introduced and the public took a healthy bite. With the help from Ron Linsangan (pictured above) , eight ROCK'N TACOS were built within 2 years to keep up with the consumer demand. Having secured success with their "ROCK'N TACOS" restaurants, the co-founders desired to take burritos to a new gourmet level: gourmet meals wrapped in tortillas, "wraps." Bret and Ed achieved a new standard in the restaurant industry....high quality gourmet food served quickly in a fast food setting. ROJOZ is a flavorful, gourmet alternative to tradiional fast food. ROJOZ is a combination of tradional Baja Calfironian cusine with a modern approach to gourmet specialties. Gourmet recipes from around the world are rolled up into wraps. Wraps are conveniently packaged meals that keep up with active lifestyles. ROJOZ serves a need for people who enjoy quality gourmet meals but are too active or busy to wait for conventional full-service. |
